Ray of Light…
By Shanna Cole:
Isaiah 50:10
Who among you fears the Lord and obey his servant? If you are walking in darkness without a ray of light, trust in the Lord and rely on your God.
Have you ever felt like you have spent your whole life in church learning about the Lord, but you are still struggling every day with feeling like you aren’t doing enough or don’t know enough?? Well of course! There is always more to learn about our Creator and how marvelous and gracious He is. That doesn’t mean that He expects you to know it all before you can share Him with someone who needs Him.
Your worry is that you aren’t serving the Lord enough, you aren’t telling people about Him enough, inviting people to church, whatever it may be, well guess what, God sees that, He sees you and knows what’s in your heart. He knows that you are wanting to do better, you are just scared to get out of your comfort zone or fear that you might be rejected.
He will, however, continue putting opportunities in front of you until you finally step out on that limb of faith. The best part is that He is with you. He will give you the words to say to that individual at work that you keep being drawn to say something too. He will give you the words to talk to a stranger and just say “I don’t know your situation, but I feel the need to say God loves you and I will be praying for you.” He is the only one who can give you strength when you don’t know how to do those things. Every opportunity is an opportunity to learn more about Him.
Rely on the strength he gives you daily to open that door to someone who has never heard about the Lord, or someone who has only ever been taught not to believe. Go throughout your day LISTENING. Look for the opportunities that the Lord puts in front of you, those are the people he is wanting you to reach today. Let those that may be walking in darkness receive that ray of light, and an increase in faith that God sees them too. Tomorrow is a new day for new opportunities to be a blessing.
