God Works In You…

Philippians 2:13
“For it is God who works in you both to will and to do for His good pleasure.”
Have you ever felt a desire to do something but it is nothing you have ever thought about before? Something that has never crossed your mind. Alll of a sudden one day you just start doing it and it’s a breeze. A “walk in the park” as some would say.
Yea, some people may say, “oh that’s talent they had that all along.” Yep, that may be true, but you know who gave you the talent and that desire to use it?? God.
God will give you desires and abilities to do things that are pleasing to him. I have never been a writer or cared anything about writing. I actually despised English class growing up. I loved to read, but writing was not my thing. Until I got older and realized, writing things down helped me to cope with day to day issues I was having. That is how and when I realized how God has helped me through so many things in my life, and that it might be beneficial to others to hear how he is doing it. So here I am, writing a book. I never thought this would be something I would want to do. Now I have the desire to write every day. I constantly look for something or some way that God is working in my life so I have something to write about.
That is the desire and ability to do something that pleases God. When you have a desire to do something. Think, how will this please God? Now, along with that desire will be bumpy roads and hard times. I would not be able to write this devotional without trials and tribulations throughout my everyday life. Some very hard trials at that. Some may be very minuscule compared to others. Some days it might just be all praise reports. Those are the easiest days to write because things have been working in my favor. It’s those days when nothing is going right, that it becomes hard to write because I have to do a lot of praying and searching and listening to what God is telling me, to be able to get stories from those days.
So the next time you get a desire to do something that could be pleasing to God. Even if you don’t think you know anything about it. If God puts it on your heart to do he will give you the ability to see it through.
